Hello Sophia fans! An important part of film promotion is magazine interviews and articles. Therefore, Sophia has done two new photoshoots this month as a part of the Incredibles 2 promotion! One is for Bustle by Lauren Perlstein, and one portrait session by Mike Blake. Both of these became immediate favorites of mine, as they capture Sophia’s natural beauty very well – the Bustle close-ups are stunning. They are all in HQ, and you can find them in full over at our gallery! Enjoy, and stay tuned for more Incredibles updates.

Hello everyone! Sophia has been busy promoting Incredibles 2 this month, which I was unable to cover due to a busy schedule offline. I have now caught up on all her public appearances, including a SiriusXM visit, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and a lot of photos from outside various studios! I normally don’t post candids, but all these sets were taken while Sophia was out and about doing interviews and other press related work in New York as a part of the film promotion. In addition to these, I have added some photos of Sophia at Eva Longoria’s baby shower in May, and 2 gorgeous pics from a Cannes Lions 2018 event. There are more than 500 new event additions, all very beautiful, and all in high quality. Enjoy the big gallery update, and check back later for a round up on videos, photoshoots and more!

Hello everyone! Sophia has used her voice to give support to the Reform L.A. Jails project several times in the past, and they have now updated their official youtube account with a new video of Sophia talking about the initiative. Reform L.A. Jails is a coalition of jail and prison experts, public safety and criminal justice reform leaders, residents, business owners and the community at large working to pass the Reform Jails and Community Reinvestment Initiative – you can read more about it below! I love how passionate she is about causes like this, and how she devotes so much time to support and promote them. Check out the video below…

The Reform Jails and Community Reinvestment Initiative does two things. First, it will ensure that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Civilian Oversight Commission has the tools necessary to do its job. The initiative would grant the Commission subpoena power to effectively and independently investigate misconduct and require the attendance of witnesses and production of evidence connected to their investigations and oversight.

Subpoena power would allow the Commission to compel personnel to give testimony regarding practices in the department. Sheriff Jim McDonnell has been proactive in addressing misconduct and has been met with staunch resistance by the sheriff’s union. If the Sheriff himself is limited by his own department, then it is imperative for the Commission to have the power to proactively identify misconduct. That means subpoena power.

Second, the initiative will task the Civilian Oversight Commission with developing a Comprehensive Public Safety Reinvestment Plan and Feasibility Study to reduce jail populations and to redirect the cost savings into alternatives to incarceration. This paves the way for the County of Los Angeles to reduce recidivism, prevent crime, and permanently reduce the population of people cycling in and out of jail that are experiencing mental health, drug dependency, or chronic homelessness issues.

Powered by Reform L.A. Jails, The Reform Jails and Community Reinvestment Initiative is a sensible approach to develop a new public safety strategy to save County resources and to protect, restore, and strengthen our communities.

The Plan will identify needed prevention and treatment programs to stop crime cycles and will map out steps to create a new public safety approach to bring Los Angeles County into alignment with best practices to reduce crime by redirecting resources.

Most people in Los Angeles County jails are awaiting trial or were sentenced for nonviolent offenses. Many have unaddressed mental health or substance abuse issues and many are homeless upon release. Los Angeles County has the largest population of people in jail with mental illness of any jail system in the country and urgently needs a more effective strategy to stop the cycle of crime and to save County resources. | Source

Hello Sophia fans! I’m aware I’ve been slacking with the site updates recently, but I’ve unfortunately had too much going on offline to spend time working on the site lately. However, last night I spent a good hour catching up on all the events we were missing! These includes a very pretty portrait session Sophia did at at one of the events, the United State Of Women Summit. I really love the type of events Sophia decides to dedicate her time to, and I promise to get better at covering them in the future! Follow the links below for the pretty new photos.

(LOS ANGELES) — When former first lady Michelle Obama took the stage at this year’s United State of Women summit in Los Angeles, the crowd erupted in cheers so loud that Tracee Ellis Ross joked from the stage: “Are you gonna be able to hear us if you keep screaming?”

This was the start of a conversation between Obama and Ross, who are friends in real life. It was the start of the most highly anticipated speaking event at the USOW, following a day filled with high profile speakers including Jane Fonda, Valerie Jarrett, Tina Tchen, Aly Raisman and more.

Another incredibly powerful moment at the summit was when four athletes who all confronted disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar in court earlier this year took the stage as “sister survivors.” Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, Tiffany Lopez and Jeanette Antolin took the USOW stage side by side after being introduced by Sophia Bush, who said it was “an honor to bear witness to their experience.”

Many of the powerhouse women who spoke at the United State of Women conference told “GMA” that they wanted women to leave the summit feeling not just inspired, but motivated by all of the memorable moments and speeches.

“I hope that women leave with action items,” Sophia Bush said. “Not just inspiration. There’s big inspiration here, but one of the things I’m always so impressed by at this summit is that you walk away knowing what to do next, what the steps are that you can take to activate yourself, to activate your community to create the kind of change you want to create and I really hope that it’s the kind of day that inspires people to walk the walk even further when you walk out of this building.” (WBAL – Read full article)
